IYIP Program Coordinator

(Illinois Youth Improvement Program)

Schedule: Full Time

Reports To: Associate Director of

IYIP & Opportunity Works

Salary: 41K to 45K per year

Salary is dependent on experience.

Position Description:

The Program Coordinator will be

responsible for guiding the completion of program goals and objectives. They

will implement services and provide TA, partner networking, resources and

building the program to capacity. The Program Coordinator will be the liaison

between services and the communities.

Job Description/Duties:

• 
  
• Coordinate and implement programming for IYIP with a focus on serving youth from 16-24.
• 
  
• Work with outside partners to coordinate programming,
• including educational partners and other non-profit organizations
• 
  
• Responsible for all data analysis & evaluation
• efforts
• 
  
• Oversee youth participants and be the first point of
• contact, including scheduling, paperwork, and orientation
• 
  
• Serve youth directly, building quality relationships
• focused on youth voice and success
• 
  
• Assist the Associate Director with recruiting
• businesses for employment partnerships
• 
  
• Collaborate with parents directly as needed, building
• relationships and providing guidance on youth success
• 
  
• Complete other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

• Ability to work with youth and families from a variety
• of backgrounds, specifically diverse populations.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• 
  
• The confidence to manage multiple youth at once and
• resolve conflicts fairly
• 
  
• Good organizational skills with the ability to
• multitask and prioritize workload
• 
  
• Ability to maintain organized, current, and accurate
• records for process evaluation
• 
  
• Experience with Microsoft office and Google Sheets
• Preferred Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or two years in a similar role
• 
  
• Experience developing and implementing programs,
• preferably in non-profit setting and/or programs for youth/teens
• 
  

transportation and insurance is required.
