Reporting to the Executive Director of Individual Giving, the Associate Director is responsible for affinity program management related to the School’s annual giving program, as well as playing a vital role in expanding the overall leadership support of the School. The Associate Director will also maintain key donor relationships in assigned regions outside of the NY/tri-state region to maximize individual giving by the region’s alumni to the School.
As a member of the Individual Giving team, one of the main objectives of this position is to coordinate the School’s women’s philanthropy program and the early identification and solicitation of annual fund gifts (both leadership level and participatory) from Columbia Business School alumnae. The Associate director will actively solicit a gift officer portfolio, manage and solicit affinity campaign volunteers, coordinate internal meetings, create periodic reports and project timelines, draft in-person and electronic presentations, manage an online web portal, create print and electronic content, and collaborate with members of the External Relations and Development division to achieve this objective.
The Associate Director is expected to be a collaborative and strategic member of the Individual Giving team, and may be responsible for management of student workers or part-time employees. This individual will meet core and partnership values of teamwork, integrity, accountability, and respect.
