The Sr. Coordinator, Web and Content works in support of the Digital Development department to manage the quality, performance and optimization of content on our websites to improve visitor experience and partner satisfaction in line with business goals.


Responsibilities include day-to-day management of content on Brand USA websites and organizing the Digital Asset Management system. Some experience with content management systems and content curation is a must; library science skills are a strong plus.

Online Content Development

  • Work with the Sr. Manager, Web and Content to facilitate the implementation of unique layouts and functionality, and ensure the sites and features align with Brand USA’s strategic vision
  • Write, edit and proofread content
  • Maintain content and site standards
  • Work with a team of content managers and other resources on content production
  • Work with our tourism partners to source and create content
  • Assists with the flow of content from our partners across both internal and external channels
  • Enter and manage content in the website Content Management System
  • Plan for and execute monthly content refreshes, review all new content for accuracy
  • Regularly audit sites for the removal of old/obsolete content
  • Execute strategies for content development that align with SEO goals
  • Review reporting and readouts in order to be able to identify successful content
  • Manage translation resources to ensure relevancy for all in-language content
  • Perform quality assurance for webpages, checking links, navigation and tagging
  • Work closely with the technical team to maintain site standards with regards to website experience and new development

Digital Asset Management (DAM)

  • Continuously improve the DAM file structure and identify opportunities to enhance the assets within the system
  • Manage digital asset requests from internal and external partners, including assurance that assets meet all usage guidelines
  • Upload and organize content in the DAM, including accurate tagging of images and articles in DAM and on websites

Analysis, Reporting & Optimization

  • With the Sr. Manager, Web and Content, conduct project post mortems and create a recommendation report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements

Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesThe ideal candidate will be a self-starter, have strong communication skills and work well in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational skills, an ear for copy, an eye for imagery (both still and video) and a proactive work ethic are key.

  • At least 2 years’ work-related experience in an international marketing, communications, or promotion environment, preferably within the Travel industry
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Superior editing and writing ability
  • Previous experience with a content management system
  • Proven experience in successfully handling multiple client/partner projects requiring detailed coordination
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and social media platforms
  • Experience with a variety of media formats, including video filming/editing and web-based media
  • Awareness of digital marketing tools, tactics and techniques
  • Basic HTML a plus
  • Ability to quickly learn new applications as needed
  • Competence in project and timeline management
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Interest in travel and tourism


  • Undergraduate degree in journalism, marketing or communications, (familiarity with the travel and tourism a plus) or equivalent work experience

  • Fast paced, professional office environment with moderate noise levels
  • Must be able to use a computer at a work station for long periods of time and to accommodate potentially frequent interruptions
  • Limited travel may be required
