Position Summary
CJJC is hiring for the position of full-time non-exempt Operations Coordinator. The Ops Coordinator works as part of the Administration Team, to build institutional stability, health and efficiency. They ensure the smooth functioning of facilities, supply management and administrative systems through being the main contact for daily operations of the organization for all CJJC offices (currently Oakland, Mission and Bayview); and works closely with the Technology Coordinator. This position requires working out of all three offices. The Operations Coordinator is supervised by the Admin Lead.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities include
- Order And Stock All Office Supplies and Equipment
- Manage Office Upkeep, Chore Rotation and Other Duties Related to Keeping Our Offices Clean And Functional
- Manage Vendors and Contracts including Janitorial, Office Supplies, Building Management, Copier, Telephone, Etc
- Support Technology Coordinator in managing existing Office and Technology Equipment and Tech Planning Implementation
- Maintain Records for Contracts, Business Registrations, and Insurance Enrollments
- Manage Paper and Digital Filing Systems
- Develop, Along With Rest of Admin Team, Office Policies And Protocols, Train Staff and Monitor Implementation
- Plan and Execute Logistics for Some Organizational Activities Including Retreats and Trainings
Program Support
All CJJC staff is expected to support our core work of grassroots community organizing. This may include supporting community members' activities, supporting meeting and event logistics, and participating in voter education and grassroots fundraising.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 Years Experience Managing Operations in Social Justice Organizations;
- Experience, Expertise, And Skills In Organizational Operations Work, Including Office Operations, Communications Systems, Technology & Equipment Systems
- Proficiency With Computer Operations And Programs, Including, Excel, Word, Database, Google Suites On Both Mac And PC;
- Strong Research Skills;
- Alignment With CJJC Vision and Mission;
- Excellent Communication and Organizational Skills
- Good Attention To Detail and Well Organized;
- Self-Motivated, Proven Ability to Work Independently;
- Ability to Work Well with Diverse Groups and Populations;
- Dedication and Ability to Work Flexible Hours;
- Proficiency or Fluency In Spanish a plus;
- Must Have Valid Driver License and Access to a Reliable Vehicle
The salary range is between $45,000-$48,000. Generous benefits package including vacation, PTO, holidays, full medical, dental, vision and Health Savings Account. Position is open immediately. Deadline for application is April 15th, 2017, or until filled.
