Brief Description:

We are seeking a part-time instructor for English Language Acquisition Instructor for a multi-level class. The instructor should have experience teaching in adult education and working with diverse adult populations. The instructor will teach adult parents of Joyce Kilmer Elementary School student. Instruction hours are 9:00a – 11:00a Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The instructor will also be compensated for up to one hour of preparation time per class.


Requirements & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field is required. MA TESOL/Applied Linguistics, ICCB ESL Standards Proficient Instructor or higher tier, and 2+ years of experience working with adult learners and/or working in a social service agency are preferred. Qualified candidates should demonstrate knowledge of multi-cultural issues and the needs of adult learners, have teaching experience, and good interpersonal and organizational skills.
