v Administer the medications as prescribed by the staff physician, staff psychiatrist and clinic physicians, including educating and monitoring pouring of medication. Record on individual medication sheets.
v Assess physical complaints of residents.
o Treat as per routine standing orders of the staff physician.
o If Indicated, arranges for evaluation of problem by staff physician, community physician or clinic services.
v Maintain accurate records regarding appointments and health care.
v Provide contact for health medical community linkages regarding the needs of the client.
v Train staff, families and residents on the specific developmental concerns of this age group.
v Provide ongoing staff support on nutritional, mental health and medical issues.
v Attend medical appointments as needed with child and parents
v Available for handling of emergencies.
v Accessible for consultations on medical emergencies via Program Supervisor or Program Director.
* Salary ranges from $23.31-$29.53
v RN License. Knowledge and experience psychiatric preferred
This position requires successful completion of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training, which includes a written test and demonstration of the competency to perform physical restraints, as specified by the program and regulatory body. Additionally, staff must successfully complete all required TCI refreshers in order to maintain continued employment
