The
Biosafety Alliance is a cross-sector, multilevel and inter-ethnic alliance of
individuals advocating for seed freedom, sustainability and regenerative
management of soils by eliminating the use of GMOs and agrochemicals, while
reducing dependency on fossil fuels. We consider that public health,
biodiversity, food sovereignty, human rights, social justice, environmental
issues and corporate consolidation are interconnected topics. We bring together
strategic coalitions of diverse stakeholders and educate communities, elected
officials and organizations (who have not traditionally acknowledged these issues
as a central theme), by hosting educational radio programs, facilitating
workshops and organizing annual conferences that include local organizations
and community leaders as well as internationally recognized speakers.
