Bowen After School Care Program, Inc. in Newton Centre, MA, is looking for energetic, engaged, and compassionate individuals to join our teaching team for the 2017-2018 school year. Our Kindergarten-5th Grade students love the flexibility of how they choose to spend their afternoons and the quality of the care they receive.

As a Team Teacher, you will be assigned to a specific age group (K-1st, 2nd-3rd, or 4th-5th). You will greet children arriving to the program, prepare and serve nutritious snacks, facilitate learning experiences and activities, provide structure and support for homework and literacy, and maintain collaborative and professional relationships with both students and parents, focusing on the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development of each child in your care.

Mondays: 2:30-6pm

Tuesdays: 10am-6pm

Wednesdays: 2:30-6pm

Thursdays: 2:30-6pm   (There are several Thursdays with 10am-6pm shifts during the year)

Friday: 2:30-6pm

Qualifications:

• strong verbal and written communication skills
• willingness to learn and implement new classroom strategies to manage behaviors
• ability to work in close partnership with members of your team
• enthusiasm for teaching and ability to keep children engaged in learning
• experience working closely with school age children
• CORI/SORI approval
