Child Abuse Prevention Services

Mission: Working together to keep every child safe from harm.

CAPS is dedicated to the prevention of child abuse and the promotion of child safety through a Long Island, NY wide program of education and community awareness. Professionally trained community volunteers present CAPS prevention programs on child abuse, bullying, sexual harassment, Internet safety and date rape to school age children: elementary through high school. CAPS provides staff development to school personnel and youth agencies and parent education and awareness programs to adult groups on child abuse prevention, bully prevention, school violence prevention and positive parenting.
