All Stars Project of New Jersey
The All Stars Project of New Jersey is an affiliate of All Stars Project, Inc., based in Newark, NJ. The All Stars Project, Inc.'s (ASP) mission is to transform the lives of youth and poor communities using the developmental power of performance, in partnership with caring adults.
The ASP of NJ sponsors the following programs:
The All Stars Talent Show Network, which uses a "performance-learning" approach to foster the emotional and social development of young people. Each year, thousands of urban youth between the ages of 5 and 25 participate in several dozen All Stars events including auditions, rehearsals, talent shows and development workshops.
The Development School for Youth, a leadership training and career education program for young people ages 16-21. It is at the forefront of a new trend in education, known as supplemental education, that recognizes non-school-based learning opportunities as critical to children's success in school and in life.
The All Stars Project of New Jersey also hosts Saturday-afternoon workshops and activities for people of all ages known as "Breakthrough Days" in addition to various activities and events throughout the year.
