  • Mission

    A non-profit community performance organization since 1935 The mission of the Danbury Music Centre is to sponsor musical organizations, both instrumental and vocal, in which persons of a wide variety of musical backgrounds are encouraged to study and to perform classic and modern compositions to improve their musical ability and to share the joy of music with the people of the greater Danbury area. The musical organizations will be composed of amateur and professional musicians of the greater Danbury area and will be conducted by professional directors. Most performances will be free to the public.

    About Us

    The Danbury Music Centre is a non-profit performance organization which hosts the Danbury Symphony Orchestra, Danbury Concert Chorus, Danbury Community Orchestra, Danbury Centre Strings, Ambassadors of Music (Adult Band), Summer Festivals, Charles Ives Concert Series, Pops Concert, Nutcracker, and Messiah. This organization has been providing community music to Danbury and the surrounding areas since 1935. No performer or student is ever turned away due to lack of finances.
