About Us

The Tibet Poverty Alleviation Fund (TPAF) was established in 1997 to test and demonstrate practical ways to reduce poverty in rural Tibetan communities. The goal is to develop approaches that eventually can be replicated throughout all of Tibet.

TPAF works with local Tibetan communities to implement programs in the areas of microfinance, vocational skills training, entrepreneurship development and women and child health programs.
