About Us

On any given day, state and city officials along with corporate CEO’s make decisions that affect the lives of hundreds of thousands of people living in Lansing, Michigan. GLADE is striving to build a powerful organization among low-income people, so that they too can have a seat at the bargaining table when these decisions are made. GLADE has been working with the Direct Action & Research Training (DART) Network of organizations, which has fought and won across the country on a broad set of issues like racial profiling, joblessness, crime & drugs, inequitable public education, quality affordable housing, lack of public transportation, fair immigration practices, and dozens of others.
