Voices in Action (VIA) is a membership based educational program that uses human rights benchmarks as a tool for teacher professional development, as well as a way to strengthen school communities, by enhancing the leadership of teachers.
Voices in Action works with individual teachers, student teachers and school communities to use human rights to promote academic rigor, critical engagement, school community partnerships, democratic engagement, and social responsibility.
VIA seeks to strengthen local and global school communities, enhance and support teacher leadership, create an environment that encourages life-long learning and connect teachers and students to the world in a safe and instructional manner. The overarching goal of VIA is to bridge community and global divides and to create a leadership team of teachers and students that are active members of the global community.
