Elect Candice Aaron for FCBOE

Candice Aaron is running for Fayette County Board of Ed, District 1. She is a decorated U.S. Army Veteran with over 13 years in community outreach and advocacy and the recipient of several prestigious advocacy awards. 

She is the mother of three amazing children, one of whom is a student in the Fayette County special needs program. Because of her own personal experiences with this program, she is deeply invested in supporting Fayette County’s educational system. She is committed to using her strengths & skills in a positive and inclusive manner.

Investing In Our Teachers

Nobody knows better than a teacher how best to run their classrooms and it’s time we bring the teachers’ voices to the forefront. Our teachers play a major role in our county holding a “B” rating and her promise is to support them in giving feedback on what is working in our schools and what isn't. 

Investing In Our Parents

Our board needs representatives with diversity in age, race and gender in order to effectively reach families of different structures. Young parents; single working parents; minority parents; and parents with students with diverse learning needs regularly feel ignored because of physical and social barriers. Strong leadership means ensuring that all of our families’ voices are heard. As a mom and parent to a child with disabilities, she promises to always have an inclusive mindset and expand our current conversation to include families of all kinds.
