Mary Immaculate School
Mary Immaculate School provides an equal opportunity to children in grades 1-8 whose learning differences require the development of a specialized educational program. Founded in 1960 to educate the Mentally Retarded, over the years a transition has been made to the Learning Disabled(LD),ADD/ADHD students. The Sisters of Notre Dame Community sponsor our elementary school. Each student has an IEP/504 Plan. Mary Immculate offers a low student-teacher ratio, a strong Catholic/Christan family atmosphere, religious instruction and motivation, small group activites and a large number of religious on staff, many retired. Funds are needed to add additional classroom space for small group instruction, to provide for paraprofessionals in the classroom, to supplement the Sensory Integration Program and to add a speech/language component for students with special needs.
