About Us

The California Participation Project provides California nonprofits with the resources and support necessary to make voter and civic participation a permanent part of the culture and services of their organization.

CPP believes that nonprofit staff and volunteers are the ideal messengers to communicate to their constituents the importance of voting and the role public policy plays in their lives, yet many nonprofit staff don't know how. That's why we provide nonpartisan information, resources and tools for 501(c)(3) nonprofits so that they can integrate civic engagement into their on-going work.

Our work is a movement in civil society to increase voter participation and to close participation gaps towards healthier communities, stronger nonprofits and a more engaged and active citizenry. You can visit our website to learn more at www.caparticipates.org.
