The Monument Community is a vibrant, diverse, but severely under-resourced community in the heart of Concord, California. The people who live, work and operate businesses here want what everyone else wants – to have the opportunity to be rewarded for their hard work. Yet, despite their ambitions and talents, the 2000 U.S. census indicated that 63% of residents who live here are low income and more than 40% are very low income.
Monument Futures has a number of programs to give economic possibilities to members of the community. These programs include a Day Labor Center, Computer Classes, ESL Classes, and a leadership development group.
