Wendy Greuel for Mayor 2013
Wendy Greuel is running for Mayor of Los Angeles to get our city back on track. Wendy wants to create a sustainable city with a thriving economy, great public schools and a seamless transportation system. Wendy would be the first woman elected Mayor in the city’s history.
As City Controller, Wendy uncovered more than $160 million in wasteful spending, fraudulent activity, and abuse of city resources. That's money that could've gone towards job creation, parks and libraries, and faster emergency response in every part of our city.
On the City Council, Wendy helped lead tax reform to help small businesses and focused on getting the job done on basic city services.
Following her tenure in Mayor Bradley’s office where she was a leader in the creation of LA’s BEST, a nationally recognized afterschool program, Wendy worked in the Clinton administration in the US Department of Housing and Urban Development. At HUD, Wendy helped secure over a billion dollars in support for those affected by the Northridge Earthquake.
