Beacon Therapeutic Diagnostic and Treatment Center/Beacon Schools, Inc.
Founded as a therapeutic day school in 1968, Beacon Therapeutic Diagnostic and Treatment Center uses proven, individual behavior-changing academic and clinical therapies to help the most vulnerable children and families to create a new ending from a disadvantaged beginning. Beacon has grown into a multi-site organization with three core programs: 1. Elementary and Junior/Senior High Therapeutic Day Schools; 2. Homeless Outreach Services; and 3. Outpatient Mental Health Services. In all programs Beacon serves at risk children and youth and their families, as well as homeless families across the city, providing wrap services including case management, therapy and other ancillary services.
Early Head Start Program provides weekly home visits to pregnant women and
women with infants and toddlers to work on all aspects of child
development. Our FamilyWorks program is
a comprehensive initiative with the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) that
provides targeted services to families based on their specific needs at
critical life milestones
