Children's Cross Connection International
Children's Cross Connection International is an organization seeking to equip developing nations to meet the medical needs of their own children. Through our broad base of volunteer US medical professionals, CCCI is able to partner with existing pediatric hospitals abroad to train, support, and expand national programs. Through these programs we have established several specialty surgical units, including a pediatric open-heart surgery unit that performed the first open-heart surgery completed in the country of El Salvador and is now performing upwards of 175 such surgeries each year.
Additionally, these partnerships allow us to target children with conditions as yet inoperable in their native country, whom we then transport into the US for surgery.
CCCI also sponsors an orphanage in Ethiopia, where 42 orphans of HIV/AIDS victims are housed and cared for.
