The Mental Health and Addictive Disorders Research Program is an integral part of the Department of Psychiatry at New York University School of Medicine. Goals are to enhance the understanding of diagnosis, pathophysiology and treatment of psychiatric and addictive disorders with an emphasis on addictive disorders, adult attention deficit disorder and the anxiety and depressive disorders. Underlying the program is the conviction that clinical care, training and research are all enhanced where they coexist in a mutually supportive environment, and that the quality of each component reflects the quality of the others.
