New Sanctuary Movement of Philadelphia

New Sanctuary Movement of Philadelphia (NSM) is an interfaith, multicultural immigrant justice organization working to build community across faith, ethnicity, and class in our work to end injustices against immigrants regardless of immigration status, express radical welcome for all, and ensure that values of dignity, justice, and hospitality are lived out in practice and upheld in policy. Our current campaigns are Sanctuary campaign, Driver’s licenses in PA, Immigration Reform, and restricting ICE’s access to Philadelphia agencies.

Through grassroots organizing led by affected immigrants, we bring together immigrants and allies to fight immigrant justice campaigns. Our community organizing in Philadelphia builds power in communities to change policy through direct action campaigns, build the individual and collective capacity of the immigrant community and alter the balance of power.
