  • About Us

LAIIT is a registered 501 (3) non-profit organization based in the United States. It is also registered as an “Association” in Senegal and holds a “recipisse”, and is therefore legally authorized to operate as a community-based organization. In Senegal, board members are hospital staff from various partner hospitals. We believe that long-lasting changes are possible when those at the root of the solution work as active agents of change. The board meets monthly to review individual organizations’ efforts and discuss best practices for the management of the organization’s resources in order to best serve the local population. Staff in the United States mainly manages fundraising efforts.
