Mesa Historical Society

  • Mission

The Mesa Historical Museum provides interpretive experiences through historical objects and photos that depict significant stories about the early years of Mesa. The museum provides a meaningful learning environment for its visitors and showcases the unique importance of the Lehi/Mesa region.

    About Us

The Mesa Historical Museum is housed in a one hundred year old school building in the beautiful Lehi area of Mesa. We currently have seven exhibits including the Mesa Room which tells the story of the settlement of Mesa from the early Hohokam people to the Mormon companies of pioneers. We trace the development of Mesa agriculture and economics and provide visitors with a glimpse of how life used to be at the turn of the century. Another exhibit is devoted to the history of the first founding families. We also feature the Arizona Spring Training experience exhibit, the Art of Karen Kuykendall and a special exhibit that changes annually and focuses on a unique aspect of Mesa history. Currently, we are featuring the Diversity of Mesa.
