Inner-City Scholarship Fund

About Us

In 1971, Terence Cardinal Cooke foresaw the importance of addressing the educational needs of economically disadvantaged children and brought together a group of determined and dedicated business and civic leaders to help him raise funds to maintain the educational excellence of the inner-city schools of the Archdiocese of New York. Inner-City Scholarship Fund was subsequently established to help bridge the gap between tuition charged and the actual cost of educating a child in these schools, which are located in some of the poorest communities in the Bronx, Manhattan, and Staten Island. Currently, ICSF helps to provide an exemplary, values-centered education to nearly 45,000 boys and girls.
