About Us

The Springfield Vietnamese American Civic Association's mission is to serve the Southeast Asian (Vietnamese, Laotian and Cambodian) immigrant and refugee communities of Western Massachusetts. Our goal is to empower immigrants and refugees to become self-sufficient and help them adjust to the American society through community support and education. We have elderly services and our Family Empowerment Program, which focuses on youth and their families. Within the Family Empowerment Program, there is an after school program, summer program and meetings for parents.

We are looking for people who would like to volunteer in our after school program. The main responsibility of volunteers is to act as tutors and mentors to the youths between grades 1st and 8th. We provide homework help, extra practice work to prepare them for MCAS, along with games, activities and field trips. Please give us a call if youre interested!
