New Leaf Initiative
- State College
243 South Allen Street
Located in beautiful Central Pennsylvania, New Leaf Initiative is a nonprofit organization that catalyzes the innovative talent of State College and small towns across the state to create careers they love and improve their communities. We run an inspiring coworking space, connect collaborators from diverse backgrounds and disciplines across the region, and equip innovators with the resources to thrive in their work.
What began as an idea incubator in a basement office has grown into a 2,500 square-foot coworking space in the State College municipal building that supports the development of similar hubs throughout the state while providing a variety of services in the community. New Leaf members come to us with a passion or curiosity and, nurtured in our space, develop companies, nonprofits, community projects, or successful freelance careers.
Our biggest impact has been boosting the trajectories of innovative young adults, as time in our space shifts them from discouraged or disconnected to creating solutions for social issues such as food insecurity, women’s empowerment, and affordable housing. We’re primed to deepen our support of these emerging leaders and creatives while expanding the invitation to business, government, academia, and the towns to work better, together.
