MEET THE MINIMUM NEEDS OF ALL

Subsequent to 9/11 an Initiative 'Meet the Minimum Needs of All', (MMNA), has been undertaken. During the year 2002 the global political economy distributed 80% of the global goods and services produced, to 1.1 billion people who belong to the global First World population (those making more than $8 per head per day); 15 %, to 2.6 billion of the global Lower Middle Class (those making between $2 and $8 per head per day); and 5% to 2.4 billion of the global Poor(those making less than $2 per head per day),leading to over 20,000 (twenty thousand) daily deaths amongst the global Poor.

In other words, if 10 plums represent the total global production and 100 people the total global population, then 16 persons kept 8 plums for themselves; gave 1.5 plums to 44 persons and one half of a plum (without the pit) to 40 persons to live on.

In the relative plenty of the 21st century what is the justification for this sacrifice? As culpability rests on the global political economy, the 'spiritual component' of consciousness is called upon to act by claiming a spiritual seat on the World Trade Organiation and the World Bank, maintainers of the global political economy, assisting them to 'Meet the Minimum Needs of All' by the year 2030. The WTO and the WB represent only the secular part of consciousness.
