Volunteers Experience Abroad
Volunteer Experience Abroad is a Volunteer Organization based in Arusha, Tanzania, that accepts volunteers from all around the globe to come and help out in the local community, and experience the Tanzanian way of life! VEA is run by Blessing Eliud Managing Director, Juliana Jonathan volunteer Coordinator, who is both from Tanzania.
Blessing and Juliana began working with volunteers through an organization in Arusha from 2003-2012. The Volunteer Experience Abroad organization is working under co-operation with Macao organization Tanzania.
Volunteer Experience Abroad acceptsvolunteers from countries across the globe, provides accommodation and meals for them, supports them as they transition into a new culture, and arranges placements for them depending on their skills and background. These placements include work in orphanages and schools and medical placements.
This made a huge improvement to the way VEA functioned, and since then we have had a very successful year of volunteers. In June 2010, VEA decided that with the mounting interest in safaris among the volunteers, they would give a hand at starting their own company. The company, NCTC Tours and Safaris was created, and has been hugely successful in providing VEA volunteers with the best possible service and safari experience NCTC. VE A now has a solid, reliable team of staff who are dedicated to ensuring volunteers get the most out of their experience in Tanzania, and leave feeling fully satisfied and proud that they have been able to make a difference!
