Our History: Ugenya Community Against HIV & Aids (UCAHA) Youth organization is a community based organization founded in 2003 with the view of involving young people in participating in the discovery, transmission and preservation of morals and to stimulate the productive life, economic and cultural development of communities. Since inception, we endeavor to build the capacity of the rural youth to be the architects of their own development and be part of progressive global efforts for sustainable development. We are a volunteer membership organization that develops and utilizes the skills and experiences of volunteers in creating real impact and change in the community. Underlying all that we do in UCAHA, every service we provide, every direction we take are the global values for community empowerment that drives us, that guide us, that instill in our hearts and minds all that we do with that unique quality of sustainable service delivery. Our Vision: We envision “Sustainable and prosperous communities of socio economic stability”. Our Mission: We endeavor to “Build the capacity of the rural community through skill development and provision of quality social services”. Our Core Values: Innovation and skill transfer: We value reflection, learning and innovation and strive to evolve, promote and share best practices and innovative options with others. Where We Work: We touch and positively influence the lives of young people, women, orphan and vulnerable children and most vulnerable populations of Ugenya District - Kenya in Africa.
