Queer Mental Wellness Peer Support Group

Joined in September 2020

About Us

This is a Madison-based, free, open, peer support group for queer, trans, and/or questioning adults to come together to give and receive support around mental wellness, mental health, and mental illness. All experiences are welcome, including those that carry more stigma than others, such as addiction and schizophrenia.

The group is also community-based, meaning that not only is everyone involved part of the queer community, but also that the group was designed from feedback from the community and will continually be shaped by it. All facilitators are volunteers, and in the spirit of peer support, each one identifies as LGBTQIA2S+ and as having personal experience dealing with mental wellness, health, or illness.

For the duration of the pandemic, support group meetings are open to anyone in our community across the state of Wisconsin and are held via Zoom.
