Founded in 1981, Training, Inc.-Indianapolis is part of a nationally-recognized workforce development organization that provides qualified and diverse applicants prepared to meet employers’ expectations in today’s work environment. We have served thousands of disadvantaged women and men by providing them with marketable skills and entrée to a viable career path. Training, Inc. graduates are equipped with both the hard skills and life management skills necessary to get and keep a good job.
Training, Inc. is bridging the digital divide. We offer computer-based career-training programs designed to prepare disadvantaged clients to enter the Indianapolis workforce. Our programs are focused on equipping people to become self-sufficient in the new technology-based economy.
Our Career Track program celebrated its 25th anniversary in May 2006. In that time, it has prepared more than 4,000 people to work successfully in any office environment. We have two specialty tracks to serve individuals: • Office skills focusing on the Microsoft Office Suite as well as a broad variety of generic business support functions, • Medical clerical – preparing people to work in the health care industry.
Each specialty track includes an internship, job search assistance, case management, and at least one year of job retention assistance. The goals of Training, Inc. include serving the end-user of our product, the business community. Over the years we have worked very closely with business professionals on continuous improvement of our program. Our business-based research indicates that well-equipped entry-level candidates will be one of the highest workforce needs over the next ten years, and Training, Inc. programs will help fill that need.
