Mission

As a uniquely metropolitan congregation, the people of Christ Lutheran Church are called to proclaim the Gospel, serve others, and in invite all to experience God's love and saving grace.

Join Us for Worship

Whether you are a visitor to the city or a long time resident, we invite you to celebrate in and share the good news of God's saving grace. We have 2 services on Sundays, 2 traditional services and 1 contemporary service, and 2 services on Wednesdays.

Grow with Us

We have playgroups for infants and toddlers, and a nursery school program for two-, three-, and four-year-olds. We also have Sunday morning classes for all ages, after-school tutoring in the neighborhood, and summer activities for children and youth. We offer our middle-and high-school students and their families unique opportunities to grow and contribute through service projects, retreats, and youth gatherings. There are learning, fellowship, and health opportunities for all ages and abilities, on Sundays and weekdays, to enrich the body, mind, and spirit.

Serve with Us

For over 125 years, Christ Lutheran Church has been a safe haven for our neighbors in need. We maintain an apartment complex that provides housing and support for senior citizens. We operate an emergency shelter for homeless women and children and are committed to assisting these families on the road to economic independence. The church offers space and collaboration to our friends in the Federal Hill, Otterbein, and South Baltimore communities who use are building for meetings, classes, and art exhibitions. We also host the Hafenmusik (Music by the Harbor) and Bach in Baltimore concert series. Through hands-on efforts and monetary donations, we actively support the ministry locally and globally.
