McDowell Environmental Center (MEC) is a residential environmental education program serving students grades 3-10. The mission of MEC is to connect people to the environment, teach respect for the Earth and it's beings and to promote a committment to lifelong learning.
McDowell Farm School is the only residential farm school in the southeast! We are connecting students and their adults to the natural world by making them aware of where their food comes from.
