The Association (IYANC) and the Institute (IYISF) share a common mission to inspire and enable the learning, practice, study, and teaching of Iyengar Yoga, and to foster a flourishing yoga community.  The Institute is the physical arm of the Association, one of the first non-profit Institutes dedicated to the practice and teaching of yoga in the United States.  Established over 40 years ago, the Institute is recognized as one of the country’s pioneering yoga schools, having trained some of the best known and most skilled yoga teachers in the country, and continuously providing some of the highest quality public classes and workshops.  The Association nurtures relationships amongst members and yoga studios through partnership programs and other supportive activities.
