Tanzania Environmental, Health and Disability Services Organization

Tanzania Environmental, Health and Disability Services Organization (TEHDSO) is a non-profit making, non-governmental organization based in Mwanza region, Tanzania and operates Nationally(Tanzania Mainland regions).The organization is committed to support initiatives undertaken by Government and other development practitioners in ensuring sustainable community development through promoting community health and environmental conservation. We believe that; community cannot develop while its people are daily struggling with health problems including physical and psychological. Sick people are not expected to produce anything; instead they are expected to consume even what has been gained and some of them leads to death.

The organization pursue this commitment through holistic for community awareness raising on the social, environmental, health and cultural issue. The organization founded in February 2017 with only two founder members. Currently the organization expands up to 13 members. The Organization was officially Registered as a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) in 20th March 2018 under The Non-Governmental Organization Act, 2002 Made under section 12(2) of Act No.24 of 2002 with registration No.00NGO/0009593; for the sole purpose of promoting community sustainable development through awareness creation on health and environmental issues, counseling, medical supports and environmental conservation.
