Haven Hills Therapeutic Riding Center

Are you looking to volunteer in a place where you can make an impact? You've come to the right place if you're looking at Haven Hills Equestrian Center and Therapeutic Riding Center. A 501c3 non-profit, Haven Hills is located in Fairburn and creates miracles every day.

Here’s what one volunteer, Tiffany Roberts-Wilson, has to say about our program:

"Haven Hills Therapeutic Riding Center is a special place. They will tell you that their mission is to "provide equine assisted learning and rehabilitative therapies to enhance dynamic posture, muscle tone, socialization, mobility, cognitive abilities, and overall quality of life for special needs children, teenagers, and adults at no cost to them or their families." But, what they really provide is intangible, amazing, and magical. To see a child who cannot walk, dress themself, feed themself, or even hold their body upright in their wheelchair be lifted onto a gentle horse and then sit up tall and direct an animal ten-times their size, smiling all the while rewards you with a feeling that is beyond description with mere words.”

There are many avenues you can offer help and volunteer. We are looking for volunteers to help with therapy during the following hours: Wednesdays 1-2pm, Thursdays and Fridays 330-7pm, and everyother Saturdays 830am-130pm. We also need experienced horse feeders (minimum age requirement of 16), grant writers, donation solicitation, landscaping and more. Whatever your talents are, they can be put to use at an amazing place and they are tax deductible as are mileage and gas.
