SEIU Texas

SEIU Texas unites more than 6,000 healthcare workers and janitors in Corpus Christi, El Paso and Houston who have secured better wages, benefits and working conditions through their union. The local Union continues to grow, and in June 2019, contracted municipal security officers joined together in SEIU Texas and won the first security officer union in Texas. And now, airport workers in Houston are rising up to fight and win their union, higher wages, and to raise standards.

We are committed to expanding access to union jobs for all Texans— and we are actively organizing subcontracted passenger service workers at Houston airports into their union.

We are an affiliate of the Service Employees International Union, which is over 2 million members strong who are united by their belief in the dignity and worth of workers. Together, we are raising industry standards, making life better for working families and our communities, and building a fair economy that works for everyone, regardless of where we come from or what language we speak.
