North Central Bronx Hospital Sexual Assault Treatment Program

The North Central Bronx Hospital Sexual Assault Treatment is a hospital based sexual assault treatment program. The program provides acute crisis intervention, medical treatment and follow-up counseling and advocacy to sexual assault survivors. The volunteer, counseling and advocacy components of the program are supervised by the Department of Social Work and based out of North Central Bronx Hospital. An Attending Physician in Department of Emergency Medicine coordinates the medical care that all sexual assault survivors receive and has been working with the team since it inception in 1998. We also provide rape crisis services to Jacobi Medical Center and Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center. Social Workers, Volunteer Advocates and Medical Providers are all part of the team that intervene to support the survivor.
