Equessense Therapeutic Horse Play

Equessense is a program that utilizes horses in a therapeutic approach to enhancing the lives of individuals with a wide range of abilities and needs. Not only do all of these exceptional individuals love to ride; but it’s something they can feel proud of. They each have specific needs to which our amazing horses instinctively respond. They are developing skills and confidence as they learn responsibility, compassion and cooperation. These positive traits will assimilate into their characters and benefit them for the rest of their lives. I have been humbled and blessed to have been a part of so many life-changing experiences that I would never be able to describe them all. Because we abide by our commitment that no one who can benefit from this therapy will be turned away due to an inability to pay we rely on volunteers to help make these miracle happen. We are offering a summer day camp program on Wednesdays and Fridays from Jun-Aug for which we need a large team of volunteers. We train in all aspects of horsemanship, all hours are accredited, and we will provide letters of reference and recommendation when appropriate.
