Anjali House is a local NGO in Siem Reap supporting vulnerable children and their families through education, healthcare and the arts. At the moment, about 120 children aged 5 – 20 are supported by Anjali House. Students benefit from financial and logistical support to enable them to access public school education, which is monitored by our social work team. We provide formal education at our Siem Reap centre, covering English language classes, living values education, general studies, computer classes and sports. We have a particular focus on the benefit of arts in education, through workshops in a variety of artistic mediums, such as photography, creative writing & drama. In addition, Anjali works with parents and families to provide support, advice and income improvement opportunities through our social work team and programs such as family trainings and workshops and emergency medical care.
Anjali's operations are guided by an International advisory board and a Cambodian Director.
"We believe that no child should be forced to beg or work. We believe that they have the right to enjoy their childhood - to learn, play, make friends and grow in a safe and happy environment. These are basic rights that no child should be denied."
