The Chello Foundation
The Chello Foundation is a London-based independent and registered charity which focuses on providing education to children orphaned or affected by HIV and AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa.
We aim to strengthen access to education for children in sub-Saharan Africa who have been orphaned or affected by HIV and AIDS and to strengthen the capacity of local organisations and communities to respond to the impact of HIV and AIDS on children’s education.
Set up in 2007, The Chello Foundation currently works with 11 partners in Kenya, South Africa, Uganda, Malawi and Zambia to support 3,500 children access primary, secondary and college education. In 2012 we are expanding our activities to Lesotho and Rwanda to reach 5,000 children.
