About Us

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

We are where girls grow strong and dedicate ourselves to the purpose of inspiring girls with the highest ideals of character, conduct, patriotism, and service so that they may become happy and resourceful citizens.

Since our founding in 1914, our council has served over 1 million girls. We currently work with 1 in 7 girls in an eight county area- that's 20,000 girls.

We are based on our promise, law, values, and written Principles of Inclusiveness that all staff and volunteers must sign.
