The New England Pension Assistance Project

• offers individual counseling and assistance • helps you negotiate layers of bureaucracy • helps locate pension funds • explains the benefits and rights under your pension plan • supplies referrals to attorneys • supplies a listing of financial advisers • provides speakers on pension issues

The New England Pension Assistance Project

• serves individuals in all six New England states. • charges no fees to individuals whom it helps. • began in 1994 with funding from the U.S. Administration on Aging. • has also received funding from the Boston Bar Foundation, the Gerontology Institute of the University of Massachusetts Boston, the Teresa and H. John Heinz III Fund, the Massachusetts Bar Foundation, the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs, and the Massachusetts Secretary of the Commonwealth and private donations. • has represented over 5200 people and recovered benefits valued at approximately $37 million. • has a mixture of full-time and part-time staff members whose backgrounds embody a great variety of experiences in employment relations as well as specific expertise in pension matters.
