Promoting Social and Emotional Well-being & Inclusive Practices through Social Dance & Music!

    About Us

About Conga Kids Since 2016, Conga Kids has integrated social and emotional wellness and inclusivity into social dance and music, reaching thousands of kids throughout Los Angeles County and creating a critical pathway for historically underserved kids in mostly BIPOC communities. In 2023-2024, we have grown our in-school social-dance Residency program (African Diasporic Social and Partner dances including Merengue, Danzón, Salsa, Authentic Jazz, and Hip Hop, West African Lamban, Cumbia, and Disco-Funk) and piloted the Discover the Diaspora Assembly, dances and music of the African Diaspora, a one-hour, live program, Bridge the Generations where our students and caregivers can dance together and expanded learning program in over 200 school sites. While celebrating the cultural and historical context of dance and music, we create learning experiences that connect students to self-confidence, collaboration, and community-building to empower young people. Because of partners and volunteers like you, Conga Kids is dancing in person with 229 Schools and nearly 50,000 Elementary School Students.
