ZION FRIENDS ANTI AIDS CLUB

The organization (Zion Friends Anti-Aids Club) is a non partisan, non profit, charitable and non governmental organization locally registered with the district local government, community department CBO/NGO desk as a community based organization (CBO). The organization was registered in April 2008 by a group of 8 people who constitute its founding board and registered in Nov. 2009 and was awarded a CBO certificate of registration with a registration Number CBO/156.

The organization was founded at kyanzuki village/cell, located western Uganda kasese district in central division kasese municipality. Its office is found in kasese town center along Margarita street, Kasese Eye Centre Nallongo Shopping Arcade. It was founded by a group of 8 people who constitute the organization founding board. In addition to the board, it has 7 members of staff who work together with the board to the run the organization programmes.

The organization was initiated for the purpose to focus on enhancing community based projects/initiatives in areas of women and youth groups development, initiating women and youth life improvement/skills empowerment projects and education, rural agricultural and community development, creating awareness on HIV/AIDS and domestic violence (DV) and conservation of natural resources, health, counseling of people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA), education for OVCs and for AIDS affected children plus rehabilitation of street children.
