MORE ACTION FOR REGENERATION INC

Take MAR - More Action for Regeneration was founded in 2022 with the vision of a world where our environment and communities are interconnected, balanced and healthy. We are a project based organization working to regenerate the human-nature relationship to increase pro environmental behaviors and the health, happiness and vitality of individuals and communities through evidence-based nature connectedness initiatives. Based in St. Petersburg, Florida in one of the state’s smallest, but most densely populated counties, we have a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between the human and natural world to create thriving social-ecological communities through initiatives focused on urban spaces, waterways, and wellness. We are currently working to regenerate the Pinellas Trail, a 46 mile multi-use trail developed along a historical railroad bed that connects Tarpon Springs to St. Petersburg, Florida. On February 25th, 2023, we planted 140 native trees along a section of the trail and are actively working to maintain them. Other ongoing projects include a partnership with Minorities in Shark Science to assist with camps and Science at Sea youth programs, environmental murals, movement and meditation classes focused on ecology awareness and more. Our mantra is, "Healthy people create healthy environments and healthy environments create healthy people!"
