National Kidney Foundation Serving the Delaware Valley
The Mission of the National Kidney Foundation is to prevent kidney and urinary tract disease, improve the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by these diseases, and increase the availability of all organs for transplantation.
The National Kidney Foundation of the Delaware Valley (NKFDV) supports kidney disease and transplant patients through research, patient support groups, public and professional educational programs, and a transportation reimbursement fund for low-income patients. More than 10,000 area residents are on dialysis and thousands wait for kidney transplants.
The NKFDV has a broad area of responsibility which includes the counties of eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and New Castle, Delaware.
