About Us

The Center for Women and Families, formerly known as Women For Women of Union County, Inc., is a not-for-profit agency that provides an alternative to traditional mental health services. Short-term, inexpensive, one-on-one counseling, free legal consults and help referrals are made available to support men, women and families confronting transitional or developmental challenges. The Center for Women and Families is committed to providing help available to all who seek it; no one is turned away for financial reasons. The Center for Women and Families offers a warm atmosphere in which women, men and children may individually learn to grow, develop positive self-images, establish supportive friendships, enhance their life enjoyment, and find viable options in meeting their life challenges. Agency programs and services aim to enable adults and their families to develop stable, productive, and satisfying lives. In short, the agency actively seeks to encourage women, men and families to develop the coping skills necessary to improve their interpersonal relationships, security, individual growth, and decision-making capabilities for a better quality of life. The Center for Women and Families, as a not-for-profit agency, applies all of its funding towards proactive help services and enriching activities that are open to its members and friends. This is part of a continuing outreach and empowerment objective for all who embrace its services, and in turn, their communities.
